As Martin Luther realized the beauty God's Grace, his heart broke for the slavery that people were in. Slavery to sin, slavery to religion, slavery to self. The reality of Ephesians 2 (we were dead) and by God's grace we were made alive, has tremendous implications for not only our eternity, but how we view the world around us. Jesus himself said that while the "thief" has come to steal, kill and destroy people, Christ came himself to give us life and to give us life to the full - eternal life!
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
