Thankfully Some Things Never Change

November.. A month of change and thanksgiving. The last of the trees have lost their leaves and the weather has most definitely decided that it's time to think about winter. The end of the semester is also rapidly approaching for those of you in school and with the quickly approaching Christmas season, we are all finding ourselves rearranging our schedules so that we can fit everything in. But despite all the stress and change that this season brings, let us not forget the one thing that never changes...JESUS CHRIST...who has won the victory over death for us. As we all pause next week to reflect on what we are thankful for, let us also think of ways we can share God's gift of grace with others.

Here at Awake and Alive, we are doing the same as we look forward to gathering with you at our Winter Break Conference 2018 that is coming up in just over a month on January 5-6. Pastor Jim Roecker from The Word in Stevens Point, WI will lead our opening devotion on how we can "Know the Gift". Then, on Saturday morning, Pastor Wayne Shevey, campus pastor at Wisconsin Lutheran College, will help us learn how we can “Own the Gift”. Finally, as we close out our first conference, Pastor Bill Limmer from Victory of the Lamb will teach us ways we can "Make Known the Gift" to those around us. Check out all the speakers and sessions coming up at http://www.awakealive.com/winter_break/

As you enjoy your Thanksgiving Break, we want to encourage you to talk about how you might make plans to join us and to share this encouraging Christian conference with others. And to our parents and pastors, perhaps consider investing in the lives of your young adults and their relationship with Jesus by helping them attend. Have a great Thanksgiving!
